What is the difference between Eau de Parfum and Eau de Toilette?

The difference between Eau de Parfum (EDP) and Eau de Toilette (EDT) lies primarily in their concentration of raw materials. EDP contains a higher percentage of scented ingredients than EDT, typically ranging from 15-22%, while EDT typically contains around 8-15% perfume oils.

All our scents are Eau de Parfum, and will last between 8 to10 hours on skin.

"Hi everyone.

Let's chat about perfume concentration today, okay?

Have you ever wondered what the percentage on your perfume bottle means?

You know where you can see like EDP or EDT or perfume extract or whatever wording?

So here's a hint. It's actually the amount of scented ingredients into the liquid. The liquid can be any kind of carrier, it doesn't really matter. It could be perfumer's alcohol, that's the most traditional one, or oil or water. The wording is always going to be the same, whatever the carrier is.

So the highest concentration is perfume extract, also called just "perfume" in English or "extrait de parfum" in French. It's anything 22% and above of scented ingredients into the liquid.

Next you'll find Eau de Parfum or EDP from 15% to 22%, followed by Eau de Toilette or EDT from 8% to 15% below that is Eau de Cologne or EDC from 3% to 8%. And starting here, you'll definitely need to reapply throughout the day. It doesn't mean the scent is of lesser quality, just that the concentration is lighter. Nothing to worry about here.

So anything 3% of below is going to be called mist or "Brume de Parfum" in French.

Marketing terms such as "spririt of perfume" or "perfume rain" or any kind of whimsical wording usually also fall into the 3% category. And to be honest with you guys, serious perfume houses usually stick to classic wordings. So check your bottle!"
